• Population of Bangkok is 12 million
• minimum wage of Bangkok is $10 dollars per day
• Odd numbers are considered lucky 🍀 numbers.
• Thai people believe in ghosts. Most Thai people have a spirit home on property. No one lives in spirit home except for ghosts. Ever morning they bring a bowl of rice to the spirit home
• Thai people do not eat sweets, their sweets is fruit. This is how they stay so thin.
• Thai language is tonal language. For instants:
In a flat tone-Maa means Mother
In a high tone- Maa means horse
In a rising tone - Maa means dog
(Tamara, Tam2 and Hillary be careful how you prounounce Maa)
• Thai has only 5 possible consonant

Thailand's third largest island in the Gulf of Thailand. In the Elephant show, There are 60 female elephants they use for the elephant rides. When they are not working they are in the forest. They only sleep 3-4 hours per day.
Each elephant is purchased for Show and cost 300k approximately

I was the brave lucky one to be chosen for the show performance with 2 young female elephants ages 7 & 9. Unbelievable - the video wouldn't download on my blog will send separately when I get home.

The King's body is still at the Grand Temple. His body is embommed but will lay to rest for 10 months before is buried. Thousands of people line up daily to honor the deceased king.

Oh well.
The famous movie King and I is banned from Thailand. The reason it is banned the Thai people are very loyal to their King. There is parts of the movie that it is false and critical to Thailand.
Jeff and I had a wonderful time in Thailand. This is the first blog of four. I will be sending other blogs for Hong Kong, Vietnam and getting ready to explore Singapore. I hope you enjoy the 1st of many Blogs I will be sending.
