San Diego Highlights 4-2 thru 4-23
We arrived in beautiful San Diego on April 2nd. The weather is so beautiful here.
We are staying at Chula Vista RV Resort park. It is a beautiful park with access to San Diego Bay. Also in walking distance is a gorgeous marina.
Here are a few pics of the park.
Below is an area by the pool, workout area, and a pretty sitting area by the convenient store.
We have met some very interesting people/animals. This gorgeous dog has won many metals as a show dog. His name is Suds and lives in Arizona. He weighs 170 pounds. He travels in his RV to shows for his competitions.
There is a RV here that is valued at 1.7 million. I would be afraid to drive something so expensive.
We have a mommy and her baby ducks that live at the RV park. All they do is walk around the park and cause traffic jams.
Our furry friends Jack and TJ are loving the RV. The have so many windows to check out all the activities in the park.

One of our favorite places we have stayed in our past is the famous Hotel Del Coronado. Can't remember the date but has been over 10 years. We had a beautiful day walking around the hotel and town. The famous hotel was open in 1888. The fabulous Marilyn Monroe movie "Some like it hot" was filmed at this hotel in 1958.
Below is their gorgeous elevator which is for guests to go to their rooms. There is an elevator man running this.
This spectacular sand castle was at the beach by the Hotel Del Coronado. Designed by a free lance lady.

This unusual statue was on the side of the road between Palm Springs and San Diego. This is not our RV or tow car.

Point Loma pic's.
We visited the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, Bayside Trail and Tidepool area...this is by the Pacific Ocean. Stunning views
Point Loma Lighthouse was completed in 1854. Because of the serious flaw, fog and low clouds which obscured the light the lighthouse was closed in 1892. They built a new light station at the bottom of the hill in Point Loma.
Jeff and I went back to Port Loma to go hiking at Bayside Trail. This trail follows an old U.S, Army roadway through the coastal Mediterranean. It was a beautiful hike. After finishing with our hike I realized I lost my drivers license. The license was in my pants pocket and it fell out. So we had to do the 2.5 mile hike again. I asked everyone on trail but no one had it. I stopped by the gift store to see if some turned in and I got so lucky. Guess what I am shopping for a new purse to hold my license and phone.

USS Midway Museum
Live the Adventure, Honor the Legend
1945 the USS Midway was commissioned as the largest ship in the world for a decade, the first too large for the Panama Canal.
1992 the USS Midway was decommissioned in San Diego, California
2004 the USS Midway Museum opens in San Diego
The 25 foot tall sculpture is call "The Kiss". It is on display by the USS Midway. The sculpture depicts a Sailor stealing a kiss from a nurse at the end of World War II.
Stay tuned for our next location. San Francisco. I am so excited, we are attending the film festival.
Love to all. Having a fabulous time. I do miss seeing everyone.
Sorry that you can't post comments in the blog. Jeff said there is a glitch and it will only allow gmail users.
