Famous spitting Elephant with Mermaid body

Gorgeous Views from Faber Peak
We rode these cable cars, the cable cars were the highest we have ever been on.  Stunning Views !!

Another Iconic lion but doesn't spit water

Check out the view from the bathroom located at the Faber Peak

Jeff and I checking out China town trying to find dinner with something we recognize and feel comfortable eating. After going into at least 5 different ones, we saw pictures and recognized some of the foods. Again, delicious but we were not brave to try some of their items on the menu.

Fungus - Very popular in a  lot of dishes in China town.  Every table in the restaurant seem to be enjoying fungus except Jeff and I.

Bean Curd

Fish head with fungus and I am not sure what else

I think Jeff lost his appetite after seeing most of the clients dishes on other tables.

Here is what we choose. Looks simple and taste wonderful. No surprises in our dish.

Authentic Singapore lunch for locals - Delicious

Interesting ordering system, the restaurant is so busy this helps to make it quicker for the ordering process. Okay, we were here at 10:00 am ordering lunch that is why all the tables are empty.

I decided if Jeffy ate it I will.  It was really delicious.  Jeff ate the entire hot spice on the plate.

Famous Laksa Dish

In Singapore you will not see homeless people living on the streets. The government subsidies low income housing for people with low income. There are many areas with the low income high rise living. It is very popular for the low income families to hang their clothing out the windows to dry. In the low income homes, no washer and dryer is provided. The pole in which they use to hang the laundry is extremely heavy and hard to use. Yes, people loose their laundry and find on the ground below.

The traffic in Singapore is very light. Because of the high humidity they have under ground air conditioning walking tunnels to get to most places. When we were there in January, which is the coldest time of year, which was hot around 95 degrees with humidity at a range of 70% - 80%.

Also, most Singapore people can't afford cars because of the high prices to own a car. For a $30,000 car in the United States, the same car costs Singapore residents $180,000.  Part of the fee is the Registration fee, taxes and a certificate fee to own a vehicle in Singapore.

Even with the high fees to own a car in Singapore we saw many luxury cars. A lot of wealthy people live there.

Here is another way for transportation in Singapore.
